Meridian Whaingaroa Planting Event Raglan Area School

August 4th 2022 Schools Day

August 6th 2022 Community Day

‘Ko te manu e aki ana ti miro, nona te ngahere.
Ko te manu e kai ana matauranga, nona te ao’.
The bird that eats of the miro owns the forest,
the bird that eats of knowledge will gain the world.

We are calling out for volunteers to help Raglan Area School to plant 5,000 eco-sourced native seedlings alongside the beloved Kaitoke Peninsula walking track. We have two event days coming up and are calling out for volunteers to help us restore the whenua right where the children of Whaingaroa can enjoy it.

Everyone in the community is welcome to be part of this long term journey to enhance an important community space.

To register for the Community Day on Saturday August 6th - please fill out the form below. The event is whānau-friendly so feel free to bring along the little ones - they will love to see the trees growing in future years!

If you are available to help with the schools day - the more the merrier as we need to guide the tamariki - please follow this link here: Schools Day Registrations
